HOW TO TIE GELE BY YOURSELF

Good evening my dear sisters today I am going to talk on a very important topic that concerns every woman

 *HOW TO TIE GELE BY YOURSELF*  👈
Tieying  of Gele is one of the most important aspects of a Nigerian Woman's dressing especially when attending occasions like traditional wedding or church services.

No matter the style of clothes and the quality of their fabrics worn each woman completes her dressing with this stylish headgear called 'gele'

*BUT HOW MANY OF US ACTUALLY KNOW HOW TO TIE THIS GELE BY OURSELF* S
❓❓❓❓❓❓❓❓❓❓❓

 Sometime ago, Nigerian ladies abandoned using gele because of the long process involved in tying it

But this creative art gele is back and better and many people have turned it into a lucrative business.

That is why my dear sisters I have decided to give you this treat that will save yourself time and money.

Please try this step by step approach by yourself and thank me later 😏

**HOW TO TIE ROUND PLAITED GELE*

 *STEP 1*
If you have long hair pack it up nicely and fix it in a ponytail or a knot once you put your hair up also brush it well to put all flying hairs in check.

 *STEP 2*
Fold in the edge of the head tie a little and wrap it around your head.

Before you wrap it The right hand side should be 70% long while the left hand side should be 30% long

I.e the right hand side will be longer than the left.

*STEP 3*

Using your two hands to hold the loosed head tie make four pleat on the front side of your forehead.

In making this pleat use the thump finger from under to push the head tie forward, then use your index finger to blend the pleat and arrange it accordingly.

Keep making the pleat one after the other until you make four pleats in the front side of your forehead.

( I know we are getting to the complicated part but don't panic there is a video to show you what am talking about)

*STEP 4*

wrap the head tie on your head firmly and ensure that the gele covers your ear so that it will not fall off

Then now that you have wrapped it on your head the 30% will now be on the right while the 70% will be on your left hand side

 place the 30% left right hand side under your ampit so that you can freely make more pleat from the other 70% on the left hand side

Before you make more pleat ensure that you turn the 70% side until you see the edge.

Once you get to the edge arrange it well and start making pleat using your hands to arrange them

Keep making the pleat until you exhaust the whole 70% gele on the left hand side of  your hand

*STEP 5*
Wrap the pleat you made on your 70% gele on your head then use your right hand to hold it while you use your left hand to arrange it well

Ensure you follow the pleat you made with your hand to arrange it on your head.

*STEP 6*

now that you have fully arrange the gele you have to tie it at the back

To tie it use your hand to pleat the remaining gele so you can easily hold it well then tie it together until it is hard on your head

Tie it two times and make a knot at the back of your head then you carefully arrange your work of art to a desired shape

Ensure that you fold in all the excess at the back so that it will not be visible.

*STEP 7*
